Orland Grassland exhibit at Orland Park History Museum

The Village of Orland Park opened its history museum April 30, 2016. The exhibits are arranged to trace the history of the village from pre-history to the present. An exhibit of prairie photos and a grassland bird photo mobile,

sponsored by Orland Grassland Volunteers,

is featured near the beginning of the

timeline.

Beautiful photos taken at Orland Grassland

by Jeanne Muellner and Mike McNamee

give museum visitors a glimpse of Orland

Park’s prairie heritage and the restoration

effort that's bringing it back.

Eighteen grassland Birds of Concern and

birds of interest are featured in a

five-foot-long mobile suspended from the

museum ceiling.
